Jay Hein
​Jay Hein is president of Sagamore Institute, an Indianapolis-based think tank that he co-founded with US Senator Dan Coats in 2004. He was Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives from August 2006 to August 2008. Hein serves as Distinguished Senior Fellow at Baylor University's Institute for the Study of Religion and he directs the ISOKO Institute, an African think tank aimed at enterprise solutions to poverty.  Earlier in his career, Hein was a welfare reform policy advisor to Governor Tommy Thompson of Wisconsin from 1994 to 1997 and director of civil society programs at the Hudson Institute from 1997 to 2004. Hein received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Eureka College and an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Indiana Wesleyan University.  He is author of The Quiet Revolution, a book about faith, service and better communities.  He is also editor of The New Wisconsin Idea: Reinventing Public Compassion for the 21st Century and he serves as Editor-in-Chief of American Outlook, a public policy journal.

Michael Fairbanks
​Michael Fairbanks is a Fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University; a director of the Akilah Institute for Women, the first women’s college in Rwanda; a director of the Rwanda Biomedical Center, which oversees that nation’s healthcare system. He has been a Chief Executive in both the private and philanthropic sectors. He has advised two dozen presidents in Latin America, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and Asia on their export competitiveness and private sector development. He worked in Colombia during “the Apertura,” El Salvador after the peace accord, Serbia after the Yugoslav wars, Rwanda since the genocide, Afghanistan during the war, and Haiti before and after the earthquake in 2010. He is Senior Advisor since 2001 to President Paul Kagame of Rwanda. He co–authored Harvard Business School’s landmark book on business strategy in emerging markets, “Plowing the Sea, Nurturing the Hidden Sources of Advantage in Developing Nations,” with a Foreword by Professor Michael Porter; and edited, “In the River They Swim: Essays from Around the World on Enterprise Solutions to Poverty,” Foreword by Pastor Rick Warren. He helped to conceive, and contributed to, “Culture Matters,” edited by Sam Huntington and Larry Harrison at Harvard.  He has written for the New York Times, Washington Post, The Hill, Fox News, Huffington Post, Christian Science Monitor, Philanthropy Magazine, and The Harvard International Review.

Jay Gladden
​Dr. James (Jay) Gladden leads the IUPUI Division of Undergraduate Education as associate vice chancellor for undergraduate education, dean of University College, and acting dean of Honors College. He provides guidance and leadership for campuswide student-success programs that serve students from orientation through graduation. Dr. Gladden previously served as the dean of the School of Physical Education and Tourism Management where he strategically increased student support, retention, and conferred degrees.

Before coming to IUPUI, Dr. Gladden was associate dean at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a member of the Sport Management faculty. Gladden earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in 1988, his master’s degree in sport management from The Ohio State University in 1991, and his doctorate in sport management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1997.

Jonathan Hess
Jonathan Hess is a Principal and the CEO of Browning Day. Many landmarks in the city of Indianapolis are a testament to his ability to translate clients’ vision into one of a kind innovative design solutions that exceed expectations and stand the test of time. He is recognized for his design work on the International Orangutan Center at the Indianapolis Zoo, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, the Indianapolis Museum of Art and additions to the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. A graduate of the University of Illinois where he earned a Master of Architecture in 1982 and Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies in 1979, Jonathan practiced in several offices in Illinois and Indiana before joining Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf as a Project Architect in 1984. He became a principal in 1988 and is currently the president of the firm.

Shannon Donahue
As a Nurse Practitioner with a passion for nutrition, Shannon brings a scientific background to creating development programs for athletes that give them a competitive edge. Shannon’s approach to the athlete is holistic, starting with a focus on nutritionally fueling the body for success. She is a multi-sport athlete who competes in cycling events and stand-up paddleboard events as well as continues to push herself in the gym. Through her years working as a nurse at Eskenazi hospital in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Donahue has an ability to perform under pressure while still connecting with the person in front of her.

Daniel Gerow
​Daniel is a Resident Orthopaedic Surgeon in Michigan with Metro Health/University of Michigan Health System. He graduated from Marian University Medical School in May 2019 in the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society. He has a passion for coaching young athletes in cycling and running. He believes endurance sports to be a great vehicle for preparing young men and women to excel in life. During his undergraduate studies, he won five Collegiate Cycling National Championships with the Marian University Cycling Team. He also raced internationally in Belgium and the Netherlands. Throughout medical school, he was an Assistant Coach of Marian’s Cycling Team and coached cyclists and runners in the local community. Daniel has completed several ultramarathons with his longest being a 100 mile trail running race with 14,000 feet of climbing in the mountains of Virginia.  Whether it be running, cycling, or more traditional sports, Daniel loves coaching athletes to perform their best while building character and integrity through sport. For Daniel, the bike or trail is just the vehicle for one to grow as a person.
